Beginner Level
In this 6 lesson course, we will create summer themed art! Each lesson will feature a video demonstrating a guided art. These videos will show students step by step how to create the artwork. Students can personalize their background and make creative choices. I will show students several examples to help with the brainstorming process! No prior knowledge is needed. Students will get to use a variety of art materials for this course such as markers, colored pencils, watercolor and papers.

3D Starfish
In this lesson students will create an oceanscape featuring 3D paper starfish with rubbed textures!

Hot Air Balloon Paper Weave
In this lesson students will create a paper woven hot air balloon artwork!

Lesson 3:
Textured Designs
In this lesson students will create designs in salt & glue. Once dry students will paint with watercolor and see it move along the design!
Lesson 4:
Summer Memories
In this lesson students will illustrate favorite memories from the summer or plans they hope to have!

Parental Guidance
There are some lessons students may need help cutting. The Balloon Weave lesson younger students may need help making slits in paper.

I have taught high school art for 18 years! Last year I had the opportunity to teach middle school students remotely and loved it! I have taught a variety of courses over my career such as: Fine Arts 1 & 2, Introduction to Photography, Pottery 1 & 2, Introduction to Jewelry, Introduction to Crafts, Introduction to Sculpture, Design 1 & 2.
I believe creating art is a process. It takes making a mess, mistakes and trying again! Creating art is a method of communication with the world!
When I'm not creating art, I love cooking, reading, spending time with friends & family!
