Class Experience
In these fun 5 weeks of virtual camp, learners will take virtual trips to the farm, park, zoo, camping, and beach! We will have so much fun doing singalongs, watching video clips, and exploring 5 different virtual field trips! Students will draw pictures of animals or things they see during the virtual trips. These virtual field trips help students be more inclusive, and build student skills and confidence as well as increase engagement in the topic studied.
I enjoy teaching Science, Reading, Social skills, and ESL classes. To add, I love teaching developmental and growth mindset skills. I am passionate about entrepreneurship and enjoy inspiring kids to think beyond their comfort zones. I am an experienced Home School Teacher, ESL Online Teacher, and Counselor with a Master's of Social Work degree. I have over 10 years of experience teaching reading, science, and math subjects via homeschool, private school, summer camps, and virtually. I have over 13 years of Social Work experience with a concentration in cognitive behavior and child welfare. I am TESOL certified and have taught virtual ESL courses for over 3 years to Pre-K and elementary students.
No homework will be assigned. Students can finish any assignment or activity that they could not complete in class.
A supply list will be provided upon enrollment.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
3 hours 45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
