Summer 2023 Magic Camp! Treat your son or daughter to the ultimate gift - personal, live instruction to master performing amazing magic from their own kit! This will provide a great opportunity to build confidence in presenting ideas with visual aids and have fun with other kids close to their age. See the "Learner Supply List" section below for complete information about how to get your materials for this class. Each session will involve the demonstration of 3 different effects by the teacher, followed by everyone in the small group doing them together. The third reinforcement will be the invitation to individually share their new-found ability with the class. This will provide customized feedback and encouragement. Each child is lavishly praised for everything they do right, so they are motivated to keep learning by doing. The atmosphere is one of playful discovery and positive enthusiasm. All of the routines are carefully selected for ease of use, so the emphasis can be on eliciting a delighted response from others. Yes!(If you know how!) > The Three of Diamonds - [the cutest little card trick you will ever see] Class 3 > Lighter than Air - [make an object float up and down - so tiny...you can carry it in your pocket] > Penny to Dime - [10Xing your cash has NEVER been this easy!] > Monkey Business - [a classic brain baffler takes on new meaning with the addition of whimsical drawings] Class 4 > The Ring Spinner - [amaze everyone with this demonstration of your "magnetic personality"] > Cut and Restored Rope - [perform this fun illusion for everyone you meet] > The Atom Smasher - [a size, color and quantity change that happens "right before your very eyes"] PLEASE NOTE: This is a "kit class" which makes it easy for parents to get all the necessary supplies for participation by ordering them from a magic shop. (one box) The additional investment is $29 (plus tax if you live in Georgia) and shipping which is usually between $13 - $18, depending your location and the selected carrier. Please allow at least a week for transit to the west coast USA. International shipping may not be feasible due to the time and cost necessary.
Learning Goals
Learners will be coached in effective presentation skills including: 1) Using logical sequences 2) Pausing at the right moments for emphasis 3) Inviting interaction and 4) Effective rehearsal to develop skill. (in front of a mirror between classes) If they attend all sessions, they will have mastered the presentation of a dozen pocket tricks they can share with family and friends. Great for "show & tell" and talent contests!
This delightfully fun, hands-on experience sparks creativity and imagination as each participant is empowered to continue learning and developing their repertoire, long after the series is complete.

To facilitate every learner having the necessary props (without parents having to search and shop for a list of items) we have curated a complete kit of specially prepared materials. It is much better than standard magic kits that often contain many weak effects and difficult-to-apply written instructions. The Bosco Magic Kit is filled with baffling tricks that are easy and fun to do, so we can focus on presentation skills. This kit is available for $29 (plus shipping - usually $13-$18 for UPS Ground in the continental US - International orders will be higher and require longer transit times) from Eddie's Trick Shop at the following link: http://www.eddiestrickshop.com/page/product/BOSCOKIT Tom Sikorski, teacher of this class, has personally prepared this set and is making it available to you at cost. (Over $70 worth of magic if they were purchased individually at retail.) Tom is not an affiliate of Eddies Trick Shop, so he does not get any commissions for directing you to their store. He only gets reimbursement for obtaining the props for you. Sales tax will be added for Georgia orders and the shipping fee will vary depending on where you live and your choice of delivery method. Since it is being sent from the east coast of the USA, it can take several days to arrive on the west coast for reasonable postage. Please order this as soon as you register for the class, so your child will be prepared to participate. Please wait to share these tricks with your child until the first session. There are some delicate parts that could be damaged if used before they know how. Also be aware that there are some small pieces that could pose a choking hazard for pets and toddlers.

I teach presentation skills with Magic Tricks.
I earned a degree in Drama from the University of Georgia. I taught English to all grade levels in Warsaw, Poland, presented character education assembly and family nights in elementary schools and led Physics programs for high school students at Walt Disney World in Florida. During the past 50 years I have performed thousands of live entertainment shows in theme parks, schools, children's birthday parties and special events.
I believe that visual, auditory and kinesthetic experiences provide various ways for students to participate and remember what they have learned.
