In this one time course, your child will learn an essential reading skill to aide in reading comprehension. MOST STUDENTS NEED TO IMPROVE THIS SKILL! We will discuss "Summarizing" and practice the skill during the class. Students will learn what it means to form a meaningful summary, 2 strategies to effectively summarize, and how to use key information to summarize well. We will have...

Students will improve their reading comprehension by developing the skill of Summarizing in order to better understand texts that they read.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
