Sulcata Tortoises

This class will be taught using power point presentation, photos and videos. During the course of this class you will learn about Sulcata Tortoises wild habitat and captive needs. You will learn where they naturally live in the wild and what they eat.You will also learn about what it's like having one in captivity. What they eat, what special care they require and their personality. You will meet therapy tortoises Little foot and Tiny. Little foot is 15 years old and over 50 lbs. She is a therapy tortoise and you will hear about some of her work.Tiny is 1.5 years old and is a therapy tortoise in training. You will hear some about their rescues.You will also learn about proper care, improper care and the results of both. Questions are MORE than welcome. If you have a list of questions before class even starts feel free to send them in advance so we make sure they are covered! This class is for anyone that loves Turtles/Tortoises, that's interested in getting a Turtle/Tortoise, or who may have one, but still isn't sure about the care they need.   
During the first portion of the class, we will be viewing a powerpoint presentation that has slides with photos and videos.    During the presentation, I will be doing a screen share so the students are able to view everything on the slides.   Unfortunately during this time students will be unable to see their class mates as the zoom screen will be minimized.  We will still have discussions and questions during that time to allow it to be more personalized than just a slide show.    After the presentation I wll take the screen share off so they will be able to see all of their class mates. I will also bring out one of my live sulcatas for them to meet.
