Suffixes: Making Words Plural Using -S and -Es

In this one time class, learners will practice making words plural by adding -S or -Es to the words. This is a great way to get reading for 1st or 2nd grade.

Class Experience

Getting ready for first or second grade? Looking for a little extra help with using suffixes to make words plural?

This class will focus on nouns, and how to make them plural. We will begin with discussing nouns and deciding which words are nouns. We will then move on to making nouns plural. After practicing plural nouns will create sentences with our plural nouns. The class will be interactive, and the students will not need any supplies. There will be a slide show for learners to be able to follow along during class.

While all learners are welcome, it would be best if students had some prior knowledge about nouns.

Welcome! I am so excited to begin this journey with you!

One of my greatest joys is sharing my love of reading! I'm certified to teach reading and tutor in dyslexia to all school ages. My main classroom focus is helping students learn to read and spell through Orton-Gillingham based strategies.
I believe that learning to read is an essential part of life. While the journey of becoming a reader is different for everyone, there are components that everyone needs to help them become better readers. In my ten years as an educator, I have taught 3rd grade in public school, taught reading intervention to multiple grade levels in a private school, tutored multiple grade levels in reading, and worked as a private Dyslexia Tutor. Throughout my experience, I have been able to work with large and small groups.

My classes are student-centered and based on the needs of the learner. My goal is to always have learners walking away feelings successful. Learning to read is a journey that I would love to help your learner walk.

Please let me know if you have any questions, and follow my profile if you want to be updated about any future classes. I can't wait to see you in class soon!
