Class Experience
US Grade 11 - 12
More and more colleges are using the Common App to view your college essay. In this class, we will discuss how the Common App is used and how to select the best essay prompt for you. The 2021-2022 essays will be discussed in detail. I keep the class small so we can discuss your situation in selecting the best prompt for you. A planning process will be taught so you can write your prompt successfully. The college personal essay is one of the most important essays you will ever write. Learn the tips of how to do it well! We are not writing the essay in the class. However, we will review a few essay samples and discuss the pros and cons of each. The main purpose of this class is to help chose the best choice for your student and help plan how to write the essay. Once an essay is written, your learner may send me a copy of their essay for my suggestions and critique. This is a relaxed, interactive class where questions are welcome. This class is most beneficial if your learner is interactive. As per the Outschool rules, the camera must be turned on at the beginning of class, and for this session, I would prefer that the camera stays on.
