CONTACT TEACHER BY EMAIL TO SCHEDULE AND ADD HAPPINESS AS A VITAL ELEMENT TO YOUR STUDENT'S LIFE This is an ongoing club to talk about what makes us happy and overcoming challenges to being happier in everyday life. This is a teacher-guided weekly discussion where students can practice and develop the social skills of asking and answering questions and listening to the responses, etc. among peers, as guided by an expert. This is an ongoing class covering the seven subjects listed here with a brief review at the beginning of each class, an students are not required to have attended or have knowledge of a previous class to greatly benefit from each and every lesson moving forward. Students may enroll at any time. The class will follow these topics on these dates and then cycle back to the beginning Week 1: Topic: Gratitude Week 2: Topic: Good habits Week 3: Problem Solving Week 4: Self reliance Week 5: Topic: Kindness & Compassion Week 6: Topic: Life Purpose The teaching style for this class is a summary of science of happiness basics in a brief lecture including famous illustrative stories of the concept and teacher prepared illustrated presentation followed by brief question and answer followed by music appreciation and/or examples in life discussion as guided by instructor. Students will be able to engage in verbal responses as well as using chat/text. Students do not require any particular previous knowledge or experience to attend any class and here is no homework. Ms Tara is a certified Education Specialist/Special Education teacher who has been teaching general and special education for more than a decade. She is also a devoted student of happiness with a wealth of resources available on this subject. She is an author and leader of opportunities to inspire teens and raise confidence as they tackle their unique life challenges.
Learning Goals
Students will learn the key elements of happiness and success so they can address life's challenges with confidence. Also they will have an opportunity to practice communication and discussion - vital skills to master to become more confident in all aspects of life. The class itself is designed to be a very uplifting and inspiring experience for anyone attending, so I hope they feel a bit happier and more hopeful at the end of each class.

Ms Tara who is teaching this course is an Education Specialist who is also a graduate of the Science of Happiness Class from Berkeley Science Center for the Greater Good. But this class also uses many other verified resources, gathered after having surveyed over 100 middle and high school students to discover their areas of need. So, dealing with common life experiences, building strong relationships are areas of need that are addressed during this course. In this class we are giving practical, scientific information, facts about living an authentically happy life.
Ms Tara is an active researcher, writer and practitioner of happiness in everyday life and has served in many capacities to inspire teens and young adults to feel happier and more confident as they face the challenges of life.
