Through this flexible schedule class, learners will learn the skills needed to be responsible babysitters. They will learn how to care for children of all ages including babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and school aged children. For each age group, participants will learn about the developmental characteristics of the age group, how to deal with typical problems, feeding and dressing, and toys and games to keep the children entertained. Learners will understand how to be responsible babysitters including how to care for a variety of age groups. Learners will be able to identify different characteristics of children at various stages of development.
I have been teaching first aid and babysitting courses for more than 20 years.
Handouts and links to other resources will be provided in the classroom.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
