Class Experience

In this class, students will learn how to subtract with borrowing. 

Each class we will start by getting our brains warmed up by doing subtraction equations within 10,  we will then use a place value chart to talk about the value of digits ( 1 ten = 10 ones).

We will then do subtraction problems with and without borrowing on our place value chart. We will discuss how we know if we should borrow or not.

We will then do a problem on the chart and the standard way side by side so the students...

Students will know when they need to borrow.
Students will know how to subtract with borrowing.

Students will need paper and pencil or whiteboard and marker for each class.

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
