Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
Learners will learn how to make decisions, take turns, actively listen to make friends, number and letter recognition, vocabulary, and narrative skills.
Teaching License in English VA Experienced Teacher, tutor, mentor, and childcare worker Youth Program Specialist for a major library division that had a main focus on complex story times Mom of a unique Autistic toddler (able to modify)
Activity sheets will be given weekly along with book suggestions for extensions between learners and their families at home. No formal homework will be given. Must attend at least three classes to get the activity sheet weekly.
Students are asked to bring a stuffed buddy daily and an item for show/tell on Fridays. Pencil and paper is suggested or letter practice but learners will also have the option of using their finger in the air.
Progressive- independent practice and narrative, game participation Summative- Review questions, practice whole group
3 hours 20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
For active portions, dance break and act out: Learners will want to have open space to participate, footwear that does not have open toes, and a water bottle if needed. Learners are asked to stretch before class time. Dancing will be free dance style but students could still have bumps if adequate space is not provided.
