Study Voice With a Trained Opera Singer!

This beginner voice class is the perfect introduction to singing. In this fun and supportive environment, students will learn the foundations of healthy vocal technique while exploring their love of music.

Each class begins with breath work to help students understand how to use their breath to support their singing. We'll practice exercises designed to improve posture, lung capacity, and breath control, giving students the tools they need to sing with ease and confidence.

Next, students will participate in vocalizing exercises to warm up and strengthen their voices. These exercises are designed to develop pitch accuracy, tone quality, and vocal flexibility while introducing the basics of solfège and sight-singing. Through ear training activities, students will also improve their ability to match pitch and recognize musical intervals.

Finally, we’ll apply what we’ve learned by working on a song together as a class. Students will practice singing as a group, learning to blend their voices while exploring dynamics, phrasing, and expression. Song choices will be age-appropriate and fun, allowing students to develop confidence and enjoy the process of learning to sing.
