Has your child ever "studied" for a test/quiz the night before, gone to class the next day, and had no idea what the answers were? This is a great class for students who are in the eighth grade or who are entering high school where students will need to be well equipped to be more independent, especially now with virtual school being the new normal classroom. This class will help students improve study skills with: • discussion • questions/answers • slides • a Kahoot activity There will be a variety of methods discussed to help the student understand what type of learner they are and how to utilize that information to study effectively. In this class, you will receive: • informational tools • a handout to download with useful tips

Students will understand the different way young learners can study and how to best utilize the strengths they have in they way they learn.

I have been a high school classroom teacher for over 20 years. My dissertation is in Study Skills was conducted for my ninth grade classes. These techniques were also used in middle-grade classrooms to help students with their end-of-grade tests. My techniques were proven successful in increasing confidence in student performance and increased test scores.
