I am a certified Special Educator with 14 years of teaching experience. I am also a Transition Coordinator, and have taught study skills to students struggling especially with executive functioning in school. I have a Master's Degree in Special Education and Curriculum and Instruction, and a Doctorate in Education.
Students will be assigned to watch videos, be given selected (short) website readings, and assigned interactive assignments through the Outschool discussion board, Padlet, and Flipgrid.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Students will be given the option to submit responses to Padlet (no account creation required) and Flipgrid (an account is required for video submission). These are not required parts of the course, and responses can also be submitted in writing within the Outschool platform.
The SOAR curriculum will be utilized, with express written permission, for the outline of the course.
