Students will listen to a series of oral directions to follow and learn to trust their ability to follow oral directions. A different fun listening activity each class plus fun brain break activities to improve neuroplasticity.

Class Experience
Each class will begin by asking students about some of the reasons it is hard to: listen to directions, recall the instructions, follow the directions. Classes will not build upon the previous class so students can join or leave at any time. Students will engage in brain break activities that will help them use both the left and right sides of their brain. These brain breaks will help students learn to listen and work at the same time. Students will learn to listen to and follow oral directions to complete each activity. Students will gain a sense of trust in themselves, increase their self-esteem and boost their self-confidence and resiliency by completing the tasks even if they make mistakes.
I have a Specialist Degree in Education with a major in Educational Psychology and Counselor Education. I have been guiding students for 13 years in areas such as anger management, social skills, character education, career awareness and academic improvement.
Pencils, crayons, scissors and a print out of the activity sheet.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will need to print the activity sheet prior to class. Students must know the alphabet and basic colors.
