Many students struggle with time management, organization, and comprehension. What many of them don’t realize is that these traits are skills that must be learned and practiced. This online, multi-week course will present students with tips and techniques for improving their time management and organization. This class will also teach students how to read textbooks and how to take notes efficiently. Students will also learn how to study for tests and how to take various types of tests. Students who complete this class will have the tools for successful academic futures. It is up to them to USE those tools! Online learners will engage in interactive online lessons and weekly assessments or assignments. In addition, students will interact with other students and the teacher via weekly discussion forums and activities. Students have one week to complete the weekly lesson activities. All work should be completed by the weekly due date. Students will email their homework to the teacher and she will review their work and reply with suggestions and comments. This class runs “asynchronously” (participants to do not need to be online at a specific time each week), but there are due dates for lessons and assignments since this is an important part of study skills. There is no live Zoom portion to this class.
