Study Skills: SQ3RC- Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review, and Connect
Students will learn the study skills strategy SQ3RC in order to create notes from their textbooks. SQ3RC can be applied to any subject.

Students will be taught the SQ3RC note taking method and study strategy. The acronym stands for Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review, and Connect. Through each stage of the strategy, students are interacting with the text in different ways. In the survey and question stages, they are able to set a purpose for reading. The material will be presented to the class by a Google Slideshow which will be screen-shared from the teacher's device only. Students will need to access the class handouts through the Outschool classroom page before class.
