Description

Class Experience

Students will learn basic drawing principles through familiar Studio Ghibli characters. Students will learn to build characters through simple shapes, learn how to map out a characters face, proportions and more.
I have been teaching the Studio Ghibli series on Outschool since 2018. I am a huge Hayao Miyazaki fan and have been studying his work for a number of years. I have been a personal fan for over 25 years. My classes focus on Hayao Miyazaki himself and I conduct lecture courses on other Studio Ghibli films (ex. Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Ponyo, Princess Mononoke).
I also conduct over 40+ different types of anime courses.
My art teaching practices focus on art, anime, Studio Ghibli, My Hero Academia, sketching, drawing, watercolor and more.
Homework will be given. Homework is not required, but highly recommended.
Materials Needed:
-Pencil
-Eraser (Vinyl recommended)
-Fine-tip permanent pen (Micron and Sharpie recommended)
-Sharpener
-Paper/Sketchbook
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 10 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
