Class Experience
In this 4 week FLEXIBLE course, students will sculpt some of our favorite Studio Ghibli Anime Characters. Each lesson will have audio and video, along with step by step tutorials that I created for each character. I will go over how to convert our creations into jewelry, which is an optional step the students may do. The supplies are listed below and are necessary to complete the projects. I will go over how to lacquer the clay after baking if the students want a professional, glossy finished...
Supplies: Polymer Bake Clay in a variety of colors (white, black, grey, orange, green, purple, red) Basic Sculpting tools, cutting tool, dotting tool (for eye sockets) A non stick surface to work on A small rolling pin or paintbrush handle or anything smooth to roll out small pieces of clay. You may use Black Glass seed beads for eyes, otherwise black clay Eye pins (to turn into charms before baking) About 1" of metal wire or 1/2 toothpick for leaf umbrella (optional) Tiny star shaped cookie cutter (optional) Clear water-based Polyurethane or glaze for after baking (optional)

There are no Live meetings in Flex classes. This class uses Nearpod. There is no account necessary for Nearpod, students just type their name to enter. Each Sunday, the lesson links will be posted in the classroom. These links are accessible throughout the 4 weeks.
