Student Recital! Perform Your Favorite Song You Learned in Class

In this course, students will have an opportunity to 'show and tell' one original and/or cover song in each class. The goal is to help each student develop confidence in their performance skills and performing in front of others.

Class Experience

US Grade 5 - 8
Beginner - Advanced Level
In this class, students will have the opportunity to perform an original song or cover song for the class. My students from other classes and new students alike will have the opportunity to perform their songs for their fellow students. The class will listen, applaud and offer a piece of encouragement to each student after their performance. The hope is to create an uplifting environment that encourages students to step out of their comfort zone with newfound confidence each week. Not only will the students who are performing grow in experience, but the students who are listening will also grow in their social skills and develop an understanding of the importance of encouragement of their fellow classmates. Throughout our course, learners will continue to grow in their confidence in performing in front of others, as well as grow their ability to encourage their peers in their craft.
The content of this class is built with the learners enrolled during the current week, as each learner will be given time to perform their chosen song. This class is also intended to give each student an opportunity to show off what he/she has learned in our sessions together. :)

Week 1// March 11th: Original song introduction and performance by each student with a class applause/encouragement critique to follow.

Week 2// March 18th: Favorite song introduction and performance by each student with a class applause/encouragement critique to follow.

Week 3// March 25th: Cover song of the week introduction and performance by each student with a class applause/encouragement critique to follow.

Week 4// April 1st: Original or cover song introduction and performance by each student with a class applause/encouragement critique to follow.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
Though learners will get to decide which song they perform each class, I do ask that the parent approves the song before class. No songs with any inappropriate material or any inappropriate topic will be allowed in class, and all songs performed must be clean.
