Strum, Play, Rock! Beginner Guitar for Young Musicians

Hello! I’m Schuyler, and I’ve been teaching guitar for over 5 years to students aged 5 and up. In my lessons, students will learn essential guitar skills like tuning, strumming chords, reading tablature, and playing some of their favorite songs!

Each lesson will start with a fun fingering exercise to warm up, and then we’ll dive into learning and practicing a song. My teaching style is energetic and supportive, focusing on music appreciation rather than perfection. I believe that enjoying the process is key to becoming a confident musician!

For students who take lessons consistently, I ensure they receive exposure to important foundational skills like sight-reading, ear training, and basic music theory.

I strive to maintain an open line of communication, so students can reach out to me with any questions between lessons. I’m here to guide and support them every step of the way!
