Is your child struggling to read grade-level text? Does your child feel like reading is a chore? Does your child lack strategies for sounding out unfamiliar words? In this one time class, I will administer Beginner and Advanced Decoding Surveys that will pinpoint underlying weaknesses in Basic Reading Skills. Students will be given decoding surveys to pinpoint specific weaknesses in Basic Reading Skills. Findings and suggestions for instruction will be provided to parent.
No homework. Learner will be completing the session individually with Dyslexia Specialist.
No supplies needed.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Skills are assessed with an informal decoding survey and results are sent in a written report.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
