In this ongoing class that will meet once a week, your learner will be provided with a fun interactive hand strengthening exercises and activities with the need of little materials! Hand strength is a huge component to your child’s handwriting and when there is a lack of hand strength this is when they will become avoidant to any handwriting tasks. Week of June 14th- Week 1: Playdoh Strengthening (play doh) Week of June 28th- Week 3: Paper Crumbles (2 plain pieces of paper) Week of July 5th- Week 4: Clothespin & Pom Poms (1 clothespin, and varied sized pom poms) Week of July 12th- Week 5: Playdoh & Beads (play doh and varied sized beads) Week of July 19th- Week 6: Pencil walks and spins (pencil) Week of July 26th- Week 7: Flick hockey (plain paper and empty cup) Week of August 2nd- Week 8: Q-tips and toothpicks (q tips, toothpicks, play doh)
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Play doh may contain wheat so please be cautious with any gluten allergies Please provide adequate space and water for Week 2 lesson, as this will contain movement participation.
