Description
Class Experience
Students will increase knowledge of sentence structure and paragraph construction by developing a few strong sentences into a short, simple story.
With a Bachelor's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, I worked as an SLPA for over 8 years. During that time, I worked with some students on expansion of language structure and daily language skills. In this class we will expand thought development and written language skills.
Pencil and paper
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Assessment is taken through the in-class writing assignments. Students will also demonstrate retention of skills by developing an ending to an incomplete story written by the teacher.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
