Bachelor's Degree in Education from Asbury University
Hello! I am an educator of 30 years. It is my joy to teach language arts classes of all kinds with writing techniques and grammar lessons being my specialty, I have a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Asbury University. While I have taught in public, private, and homeschool settings, leading small groups of young writers to hone their compositional skills is my favorite venue for teaching. As I home educated my own six children, I organized small group classes where young writers could learn, practice, and have an audience for their newly gained skills. I have taught hundreds of students to express themselves with excellence over the past fifteen years. I focus on stylistic technique as well as compositional structure in a lively class atmosphere. Many of my students continue to send their college work to me for final edits. I believe that all students have a voice, and it is my job to help them find their unique writing styles. The place of grammar knowledge is not to just know fancy grammatical terms but rather to have the tools necessary for proper and engaging written expression. Having an audience is essential, and classes meet this need as does a caring teacher who is committed to seeing student success. It would be my honor to help your child become the best writer they can be! Join me as we joyfully learn together!
