Class Experience

Intermediate - Advanced Level
🎓 Welcome to Strixhaven, the most prestigious university for magical studies in the multiverse! In this weekly Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) adventure, students aged 11-15 will dive into the mystical world of Strixhaven, where they'll attend magical classes, explore ancient secrets, and encounter fantastical creatures. Whether you're new to D&D, DnD, or a seasoned player, this role-playing game (RPG) adventure offers a thrilling blend of magic, mystery, and camaraderie. 🪄

This is an ongoing weekly session where students can join at any time. We will do our best to make sure new students have the relevant plot lines and info needed before joining their first session depending on how close to class start time enrollment happens.

What to Expect:

Interactive Storytelling: 📖 Each session unfolds within the hallowed halls of Strixhaven, where students' choices shape their journey. Whether you're exploring the magical campus or unraveling a mysterious plot, each session is packed with excitement. 🕵️‍♂️
Magical Challenges: 🧩 From dueling with spellcasters to mastering enchanted puzzles, students will use their wits and magical skills to overcome a variety of challenges.
Team-Based Play: 🤝 Collaboration is key at Strixhaven! Students will work together to solve problems, complete quests, and protect their fellow students from magical mishaps. 🛡️
Character Development: 📝 Create your own Strixhaven student! Choose your college—Lorehold, Prismari, Quandrix, Silverquill, or Witherbloom—and develop your character’s magical abilities and personality.
Educational Fun: 🧠 While immersed in the magical world of Dungeons & Dragons, students will also enhance their reading, math, and critical thinking skills as they calculate spell effects, strategize in battle, and decode ancient texts.
Explore the Strixhaven Colleges:

At Strixhaven, every student belongs to one of five unique colleges, each with its own philosophy and approach to magic:

Lorehold: 🏺 The College of Archaeomancy, Lorehold students are historians and explorers who use magic to uncover the past. They excel at summoning spirits and wielding the power of history.

Prismari: 🎨 The College of Elemental Arts, Prismari students are artists who use elemental magic to create masterpieces of visual and performing arts. Their spells are as creative as they are powerful.

Quandrix: 📊 The College of Numeromancy, Quandrix students are mathematical geniuses who manipulate the laws of nature through equations and patterns. Their magic is precise, calculated, and often mind-bending.

Silverquill: ✒️ The College of Eloquence, Silverquill students are wordsmiths who wield the power of language. They inspire and demoralize through words, using their sharp wit and commanding presence to lead and persuade.

Witherbloom: 🌿 The College of Essence Studies, Witherbloom students are nature-focused mages who draw power from the balance between life and death. They excel in alchemy, healing, and harnessing the forces of nature.

Other Details

Learning Needs
We train all of our DMs on how to handle the unique needs of all learners with emphasis on LGBTQ+ inclusiveness and understanding of Neurodivergence
Parental Guidance
For the students who prefer using DnD Beyond for their character sheet, we recommend setting up the account in advance using a Gmail or Apple account. According to DnD Beyond's policies, parents are required to create these accounts using their own login credentials to comply with federal data security regulations. Please note that our instructors never ask students to input personal information into any websites. If you’d rather keep it traditional, we’re big fans of "old school" paper character sheets too! Both options are fully supported in our course.
Pre-Requisites
It would be best if they have done other campaigns before to understand the basics to ensure they can truly use the intricacies to have more success in this campaign
