Join fellow student musicians to share the music you are currently practicing. Play your piece for us and receive helpful, supportive feedback from your peers and myself. This is NOT a recital, but it is good practice for a performance!

Class Experience

The purpose of this class is to offer support for student musicians in their studies. Practicing alone can become tiresome and boring, but working together with peers can spur on new motivation. For students with a little bit of performance anxiety, regularly playing in front of peers can make the performance process easier over time. This class is also a great opportunity for students with an upcoming audition who would just like some practice performing their pieces in front of others....

Students will practice performance skills, playing in front of other people.
Student will practice giving encouragement to other musicians.
Students will practice giving tips and pointers in a positive and supportive way.

The students should come prepared with their instrument and a prepared selection of music they would like to play. It is perfectly fine for this selection to be a work in progress and not polished.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

This is class is for positive feedback and helpful tips and suggestions only. Hurtful comments will not be tolerated. If a student is unable to participate within these parameters the student will be removed from the class.
