What will be taught? In this class, learners will be taught the art of string art, focusing on creating simple yet visually appealing designs such as hearts or snowflakes. They'll learn the basic techniques of string art, including design planning, securing threads, and the creative use of colors. What topics will you cover? The class will cover the fundamentals of string art, including design principles, choice of materials, and creative expression through different patterns. Specific topics include creating a design, anchoring points, selecting colors, and working with various shapes. How will you teach? Teaching will involve a combination of demonstrations, step-by-step guidance, and hands-on practice. Learners will receive clear instructions on how to create their own string art. The actual lesson will be presented on near pod. This way your learner can stop and go back if they miss a step or would like to re watch the lesson again. Teacher Autunm will give a brief lesson on string art and the history and show a few examples of this form of art. Then the learners will begin with following the steps given by Teacher autumn to make their own art piece. What's your teaching style? The teaching style is engaging and hands-on. The focus is on fostering creativity and ensuring that learners gain practical skills in creating string art. The class is designed to be fun and accessible to learners of all levels. Learners will have the opportunity to interact both with the instructor and with their peers. Learners are encouraged to share their finished projects on the class page. Teacher Autumn will be available to answer any questions as well as share any feedback also. Any required experience or knowledge learners need? No prior experience or specific knowledge is required. This class is suitable for beginners, and learners of all levels are welcome to join. The class is designed to be accessible and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of their background or previous experience with string art.

Parental Guidance
This project is designed to be safe for learners aged 5 to 9, and most should have no difficulty using thumbtacks with supervision. Having a parent or guardian nearby to provide assistance or guidance, if necessary, is always a good practice to ensure a secure and enjoyable learning experience.
Supply List
For this string art class, learners will need the following materials: Small square cardboard pieces (the size can vary based on preference). Thumbtacks or pushpins (a sufficient quantity for creating the chosen design). Colored yarn or string (variety of colors for creative expression). Ruler (for measuring and creating straight lines). Pencil (for sketching the design and marking tacks). Scissors (for cutting the string). Teacher Autumn will be adding shapes for students to print and cut out at the beginning of class as a template. These materials are relatively easy to find and should be readily available to learners, making it a convenient and accessible activity.
