This is a great class for people who want to be more flexible in their daily lives or if they are trying to stretch for dance, gymnastics, yoga, or any specific fitness sport. Great way to prevent injuries and ease post workout soreness.

Class Experience

In this meeting, kids will learn how to adequately stretch their muscles while learning what muscles they are stretching. No experience is required, and they can stretch as hard or soft as they would like. In this class, kids will stretch each individual muscle and be able to ask questions as we stretch. If they need help getting stretches for a certain muscle we will use the last five minutes of our time together to cover those things. We will talk about the importance and benefits of stretching your muscles before or after workouts as well as just to be healthy and prevent injuries. You need to be in a space that is big enough for your whole body to move around pretty freely. There should be no risk of injury because you can stretch a little or as much as you feel fits your body.

Learning Goals

Students will see physical improvement on how far they are able to stretch specific muscle group. They will also get familiar with the name of the muscle that is being stretched.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
Make sure that the student has an appropriate amount of space to do the specific stretches we will be learning in this class. The student might want to bring a water bottle just in case. In order to allow for the best movement students should wear stretchy or loose-fitting clothing.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
