Looking to increase overall range of motion, but can't make it to Stretching for Athletes & Dancers Who Aren't Flexible? Maybe you're already a regular at our twice a week stretching class, but want to work on more than just your splits. Students who feel like they have limited range of motion in their backs or hips, can gather in a safe space where they do not feel they have to compare themselves to super flexible classmates. In this class we'll work on our legs, hips, back, shoulders, and wrists. Students can focus on safely developing deeper splits and backbends, while building the strength necessary to support various activities. This class involves physical movement (all abilities are welcome). It is recommended to have water nearby. Students should refrain from eating during class. This class combines core strengthening, stretching, foam rolling, and self-myofascial release techniques to improve mobility, reduce pain, and increase flexibility. All exercises can be modified based on students physical ability. **By enrolling in this course, students are agreeing to have their camera on during class** This class is ideal for: - Students working on the splits. - Students work do activities that require flexibility (dance, gymnastics, figure skating) - Students who feel like they have limited range of motion in their backs or hips. Frequently Asked Questions: My kid has their front splits, is this class a good fit? If your kiddo is willing to take feedback on their form (is their front split open or square, do they have their over split, pancake, or middle split), then this class is helpful. My kid is a gymnast/ dancer/ figure skater... is this a good fit? Yes. My has been dancing since they were 3, and they'll be 7 in a few months, can they join the class? No. Your child's body is still developing, as well as their body awareness. Dancing for many years does is not the same as training. Students who are younger than the listed age group, are not allowed to join, as I am not the right teacher for your child's needs. We got stuck in traffic and there's no recording, help!? Families have a few options: - Watch the class video ( a video is only created if at least 1 student attends, if no one shows up, we do not create a video) What if we're away for a week? Families have a few options: - Pause the subscription (your spot will not be held, but you are ahead of anyone on the waitlist) -Stop the subscription ( you can re-enroll at any time) My kid is really shy, can we just watch the video? It is not recommended. We do not guarantee that a video will be available. If only 1 student is enrolled, and that student does not show up, the instructor will not make a recording. Participating in a live online class also allows for students to receive instructor feedback. My kid is shy, can they have their camera off? No. The instructor has to be able to see that all participants are safely performing the exercises.
