Description
Class Experience
Students will improve their reading fluency and comprehension in beginning or transitional chapter books.
Each week learners will be reading one or two chapters of the current book on their own. Assigned reading will typically be around 10 pages, which may include some illustrations.
Each learner will need copies of the two books we will be reading for this class. 1) Flat Stanley, by Jeff Brown (modern editions are titled Flat Stanley: His Original Adventure) 2) The Skirt, by Gary Soto Both books are available in paperback or as Kindle editions for reasonable prices. You may also be able to find them through your library as either physical or electronic books.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
