Description

Class Experience

I am a mental health and addictions student, I have a bachelor's in psycholinguistics, and I am a certified confidence coach, communications coach, mindfulness-based practitioner, emotional intelligence practitioner and acceptance and commitment therapy-based practitioner. Also, I have over 8 years of experience coaching social skills to students in an online and offline environment. 
Students will be provided with handouts that will enable them to practice everything we learned in class. 
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
I will be creating my own materials but I will be referring to resources I own from my emotional intelligence certification course, and mindfulness practitioner course. Also, I will be referring to workbooks and activities when creating materials. 

Some resources I will be referring to are: 
- Social Skills Activities for Kids: 50 Fun Exercises for Making Friends, Talking and Listening, and Understanding Social Rules by Natasha Daniels
- Mindfulness for Kids by Carole P. Roman and J. Robin Albertson-Wren
