In this camp, we'll explore puzzles, games , and positions to answer learner submitted questions about chess! We will practice life, social, and executive functioning skills.
Class experience
In this student- led camp, we'll work on learning tactical strategies used in chess games. We will focus on identifying common themes, pattern recognition, and execution through practice. Learners will learn both sides of each tactic and gain board awareness to avoid common mistakes. We will begin each class with a variety of puzzles so that students can explore and gain knowledge of the tactic organically. Students will understand the tactics of chess. Students will have a variety of tactics they can employ when playing chess. Students will play defensively sound chess avoiding common tactics and traps.
I've been playing chess for twenty years and have taught over 300 students online to play in over three years of providing online chess instruction.
