Beginner Level
In this ongoing class, your learners will be nonstop moving and pumping to the beat. We will always start and finish class with a stretching sequence. This portion is a great way not only to warm up for the class but also to bring more awareness to different muscle groups in the body and how to stretch them accordingly. After repetition, learners will be able to see their progress in flexibility. We'll then do a cardio exercise to get the heart pumping. The bulk of the class will be focused on reps, sets, and rest. For example a set of exercises can be: lunges, push-ups, squats, and sit-ups. Reps will refer to the number of each exercise we do. Rest will be the amount of time between reps. This class is catered to beginners but is accessible to anyone wanting to work out. It's a great complement to any athlete's regular schedule. My teaching style is fun, inclusive, and high-energy. One of my goals in this class is to expose learners to various ways they can exercise in the convenience of their own home so that they can be strong, healthy, and empowered individuals. I use original hip-hop music as well as Disney and Kidzbop tunes. I screen all music prior to placing it on my playlist. This class is a great way for ESL learners to practice English in action. They can practice conversation at the beginning and end of class. During class, they’re able to apply the vocabulary they’re learning in real-time. Examples of vocabulary words they’ll learn are body parts and direction. During class, students will be muted. This helps with the sound quality and for the video to always be on the teacher so everyone can view the steps at all times. There will be limited verbal interaction between students. At the end of class, they're welcome to ask questions. *Great option for those that homeschool looking for arts or P.E. option as it fulfills all of the requirements for P.E. standards. Also great for those looking for extra-curricular or weekend activities! There are no requirements or previous experience needed for this class. Parental Guidance
Please have a clear and open space approximately 6 X 8 ft on the floor for the learners to move around freely. I recommend a carpeted area, yoga mat, or gymnastics mats. Generally shoes are not required but can be worn if preferred by the learner.
It is highly recommended to have a water bottle, a small towel to wipe sweat, and proper workout attire.
I guide, demonstrate, and clearly explain how to do all exercises. It is advised that there is adult supervision for the first class to ensure safety measures are followed by your learner. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to message me.
Supply List
Students are asked to wear work out style clothing that is fairly close fitting so as not to come out of place during movement. If t-shirts are used, they must be tucked into the bottoms. For example shorts, leggings, fitted shirts etc. Please no skirts, dresses, or oversized clothing. No shoes or socks are required. Please have water handy for breaks.
