Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 7
This class is a series of private sessions for Dancers to work on individual goals for dance and long term health and wellness. In the first class your learner will be given a series of challenges used to specifically assess the strength, flexibility, balance and coordination needed for dance. We will discuss learner's goals begin to form some mutual goals for learners to work toward to improve your dancing and long term health. Longevity in dance and sport is important to learn at a young age. Skills that promote a healthy active lifestyle can be learned be our youngest learners and will serve them through their dance career and into adulthood. 

Weekly plan:
week of October 8th: assessment, goal setting and  individual program performed and issued a handout for home practice
week of October 15th: review home program, discuss progress and workout together
week of October  22nd:  workout and advance home program
week of October 29th: Goal review, work out and advance home program 

Future weeks will repeat this format and will shift focus on more complex goals as learners show progress.

This is a highly interactive class.  Discussion and feedback from learners will be used to progress and determine the direction of the class. I encourage learners to challenge themselves within a safe and healthy fromework to be the best the can. Working with families and learners has made my classes very effective and keeps my learners working hard toward their goals.

Beginners to advanced dancers are all welcome to this class. The teacher for this class has years of experience as a professional dancer and working with all levels of dancers. The content for these classesis complete individualized. It is selected to match the needs of your student. All levels of athletic ability are welcome including those with learning differences, and those who are preparing for college admissions or higher level competitions and jobs in dance.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
Please be sure your learner has adequate space to lay on the ground and move around. Warmup is included in the class. Water bottle is good to have handy to stay hydrated

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
