Description
Class Experience
* Students will improve their comprehensions skills after reading a story. * Students will improve their critical thinking skills. * Students will improve their imagination and alternative endings to the story. * Students will use technology to research other house designs.
I do not plan to assign homework. Some students may need to review the reading and prior lessons.
- To avoid any copyright infringement regulations, each student must have their own copy of the book, The True Story of Three Little Pigs. - Students will need various types of materials to design and create their own houses [straw (paper) , wood (popsicle sticks), brick (legos)]. - Students will need any type of fan with three different setting (low, medium, high).OR for safety precautions, students may simply blow as hard as they can on their houses to test each house.
Assessments will be informal. Students will be able to self-assess themselves, as well.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
