We will learn how to map and blend CVC and CVCC words. I will use boomcards with pictures as students will drug and drop the letter. Then students need to then blend the sounds together to say the word. When you first start out with oral blending activities some of the students may find it hard to hear the word. In that case, I will hold each of the sounds a little longer and don’t have a pause between each sound. Because many things are CVC and CVCC words, I will come up with a list of words to use for this exercise.
