Watch the current weeks' episode of "Stranger Things"Class Experience
Each week students will rewatch an episode of "Stranger Things." In this class students talk about their love for the television show "Stranger Things." The class gives students the opportunity to discuss and analyze "Stranger Things." Students should be fans of "Stranger Things", but all are welcome to join. Even if you did watch the episode of "Stranger Things", it is easy to join in the fun conversation. All opinions shared are heard and met with respect. Students will discuss their favorite scenes and characters. Each episode we will look for references to a Stephen King novel. We also talk about era that "Stranger Things" takes place in. Topics for Discussion Include but not limited to: Team Steve v. Team Johnathan, how would you survive in the upside down, favorite scene that Eleven uses her power. Week of September 5th: Topic - Rewatch Season 1 Episode 3 and discuss 11's flashbacks. Week of September 12th: Topic - Rewatch Season 1 Episode 4 and compare the grown ups' story line to the kids' story line Week of September 19th: Topic - Rewatch Season 1 Episode 5 and discuss how the group separates Week of September 26th: Topic - Rewatch Season 1 Episode 6 and discuss groups starting to come together After the first 4 weeks, new topics will be listed in the classroom. I provide jumping off questions for discussion, but students are welcome to comment or ask their own questions about the episode. Anything relating to "Stranger Things" is welcome in this classroom. I hope that the students have fun and engage in conversation. Students can also sit quietly and observe. All are welcome in my "Stranger Things" rewatch group.
Learning Goals
Students will learn to look deeper into television shows. They will be able to talk about character arch and how music and lighting influence a scene.

"Stranger Things" is rated TV-14. It is up to the parents to decide if they are comfortable having their children watch and talk about "Stranger Things."

Hello. My name is Michelle. For the past few years I have been tutoring English for non English speakers. In the past I have been a substitute teacher and hosted financial wellness classes. I have a BA in Film. Film and television are my passions. I look forward to teaching class about film studies, the American version of "The Office", how to make a budget and fiction book clubs. I believe in making the classroom fun and educational. I also enjoy having open discussions about the class topic. I am also a big Disneyland fan.
