Calling all Stranger Things fans! Come stretch your imagination through Stranger Things inspired creative writing. Students can write by hand or type on a device. We'll begin class with a few short writing prompts/activities to get warmed up. Time will be given to complete each prompt and then students will have the opportunity to share if they would like. Then students will be given the main writing prompt and time to write. During the writing time I will be available to students for questions and/ or feedback. I will also do regular check ins during the writing time to see how each student is progressing. At the end of the writing time, students will have the opportunity to share their writing and receive feedback and encouragement from their peers if they would like. After class, students will have the option to send me their writing. If they do, I will reply with personalized feedback.
Learning Goals
Students will use their knowledge of Stranger Things combined with their creative writing skills to create a fun story based on the prompt given. They'll also practice giving constructive feedback and encouragement to their peers that will improve their writing.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I'm an online teacher with nearly 7 years of experience teaching students of all ages, primary through adults. My teaching style is characterized by patience, flexibility, humor, and fun!
For your primary students, I offer classes in the basics (numbers, letters, days of the week, weather) through engaging activities like story time, arts and crafts, songs, and games.
For your upper elementary / teen students, I'll challenge them to think critically, creatively, and compassionately in Harry Potter classes, classes about different cultures, life skills classes, creative writing classes, and book discussion groups.
I look forward to meeting your lovely kids and guiding them on their individual learning journeys. I hope my classes will give them a greater love for learning and a greater appreciation of the world around them!
Things I love other than teaching: Coffee, traveling, music, and my corgi ;)
