This important safety class is designed for children and teens ages 5 and up. In a safe, age-appropriate, and interactive environment, your student will learn essential personal safety skills to recognize and respond to stranger danger and potential kidnapping situations. What your student will learn: ✅Why it's important not to talk to strangers ✅The psychological profile of a kidnapper ✅How to practice situational awareness in public ✅How to avoid becoming a target ✅Common kidnapping lures (gift, assistance, social media, emergency, animal) ✅Basic self-defense techniques ✅How to escape restraints and the trunk of a car ✅Techniques for staying calm and focused if ever sequestered I teach through real-world scenarios, role-playing, images, and short videos to keep the class engaging and educational. My goal is to empower students, not scare them. The tone is calm, supportive, and positive—perfect for even the most sensitive learners. This lesson is part of my larger Urban and Wilderness Survival series and has been successfully taught to over 4,000 students with outstanding feedback from parents. ⚠️ Sensitive topics like s**ual violence are not discussed. If students ask why someone would kidnap them, I explain it could be for ransom or forced labor, and recommend discussing deeper topics with their parents. ✅ I welcome one-student classes and will never cancel unless there’s an emergency. Bachelor's Degree from University of Arizona - Global Campus
Associate's Degree from Ashford University
My experience includes 4 years of U.S. Coast Guard experience, where one of my duties included federal law enforcement. I have trained with several different local, state and federal law enforcement agencies on kidnapping prevention, situational awareness, survival psychology, and urban survival. I was also a fire fighter for 10 years where we often partnered with local law enforcement to talk to children about stranger danger. I meet with local law enforcement officials monthly on new developments on kidnappings and statistics.
I am also currently studying applied behavioral science with an emphasis in criminology. I have been personally trained by law enforcement personnel, whose primary duty is crimes against children, and abductions.
