In this one-time class, students will learn about the Russian royal family in the early 1900s and their relationship with Grigori Rasputin, mystic and self-proclaimed holy man.

In this class, students will learn about the Romanov family, the last royal family of Russia, and their relationship with Grigori Rasputin. Rasputin was an interesting character who considered himself a mystic and a holy man. After brief introductions, students will learn some background about the Russian monarchy and Tzar Nicholas II. Then, students will learn about Rasputin's life and how he made his way into the royal family's inner circle. Finally, students will learn about the strange circumstances surrounding his death. Students are encouraged to participate. There will be an interactive "exit ticket" via Padlet.com at the end of class.

Students will learn about the former Russian monarchy and the life and death of Rasputin.
