I am a lifelong learner and have self-educated on many topics. I hold a Bachelors degree in education and have taught students - preschoolers, elementary students, middle school, and college for many years. More than anything else, I believe in instilling a love for learning, and that reading helps students develop a lifelong habit of learning. Giving students topics that will hold their interest and spark their imaginations is one way I do this. I have always loved delving onto mysteries and this is why I love teaching about the wonders of our world which includes mysteries such as these. This class has been taken by 22 learners and has a 5-Star rating.
Because this is an ongoing class no homework is assigned. However, students will be given ideas for projects and independent study in the form of a class handout they can retrieve from the classroom, if they choose to know more.
Students should be prepared to take notes.Bring paper and a pen or pencil to class.

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The teacher will use books and internet search engines to research each topic presented then compile a PPT with the lesson outline to aid in discussion. Books and websites for further study will be included in the class handout. Sources include: National Geographic, Google Maps, Discovery.com, Livescience.com, Encyclopedia Britannica, and more.
