The cooking itself is the assessment, so they are good to go as long as photos are turned in.Grading
Grades will be offered on the completion of each assignment including the photo of the finished product and the review sheet.Class Experience
Have you ever wanted to try the Pizza in Toy Story or the Steamed Buns in Spirited Away? Or cook Tiana’s Beignet Recipe from Princess and the Frog? If you answered yes, then you are in the right class! During this self-paced 13-week course, we will create all of those recipes and more! Each week an instructional video and recipe card will be posted to help you create a copy cat meal or dessert from a famous movie, book, cartoon or TV series. We'll also throw in a few theme park meals and treats as we go along. We will then meet in the classroom message board to discuss what we like about the particular piece of media while we cook. Students will practice kitchen skills such as cutting, baking, frying, sautéing, decorating and much more. Parents may need to help beginner chefs as we work through these skills. Each class will feature complete guided instructions and teacher support via messaging.
Learning Goals
Students will discuss their favorite pieces of media including themes, characters and messages from the stories while also creating delicious meals, treats and desserts as they get comfortable in the kitchen.

Introductions and Skill Overview
As we begin our class students will have a walk through of the kitchen, go over tools needed during our lessons and complete a few assignments on various skills. Lesson 2:
Me Encanto
It is very nice to meet you! This week we will make some magic in the kitchen with Arepas con Queso from Disney's Encanto. 1 assignment

Time to create the best pizza recipe for to satisfy that hunger from a life of fighting crime, Shredder and The Foot Clan with a Ninja Turtle style Extra-Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza complete with homemade crust. 1 assignment

Hi there! I’m Tabitha Rivera and I am happy to meet you. A little about my background, I have a degree in English and Creative Writing and have been an online teacher for 6 years now. I also have 18 years teaching experience in a classroom setting in daycare, tutoring and homeschooling. I love learning and believe that everyone should have something fun to learn and grow with. I enjoy fostering in a student’s learning by providing thought-provoking out-of-the-box lessons that keep my learners asking questions and thinking long after the lesson is over.
