In this class we will use yoga postures and our imaginations to take our favorite stuffed animals on an adventure. Children will learn yoga postures and calming breathing through an interactive ocean-themed story. Students will be invited to share their ideas in the creation of the story. Sharing is encouraged but optional. A typical class follows this format: 1. Yoga Warmup Song (Short and fun, original song) 2. Introductions (Learners introduce themselves and their stuffies) 3. Calming Breathing with Stuffed Animals 4. Yoga Adventure (Yoga postures and movements intertwined through a fun, interactive story) 5. Student Sharing Opportunity (Learners will be invited to answer a question relevant to the story and explore related movement.) 6. End Yoga Adventure (Our adventure winds down into a short guided rest and meditation. This portion lasts approximately two to three minutes.)
Learning Goals
Students will learn some basic yoga postures and calming breathing techniques.

I teach yoga and meditation. I am a homeschooling mom to my amazing 11 year old daughter.
I studied yoga and meditation at the ShambhavAnanda School of Yoga in Colorado. I continue to practice everyday because yoga and meditation help my body and my mind feel their best.
Yoga and meditation give us tools to help manage stress and to calm our minds. It also helps to stretch and strengthen our bodies.
I love to play music and make up fun yoga songs.
