Description

Class Experience

Our time together begins with a few calming breaths and a hello song specially designed to help each learner feel engaged and included. Now focused, students will practice winter themed asana (yoga poses), making fun sounds effects and contributing their thoughts and feelings along the way. Then it's time for a chilly action song, students singing as they stretch. We will move on to reading Salina Yoon's sweet picture book Penguin and Pinecone before exploring a few more poses. I teach yoga at preschools and daycares here in Chicago, designed and led a children's yoga teacher training in South Africa, and spearheaded a musical storytime initiative at a refugee camp in Athens, Greece.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Yoga mats are not necessary (though welcome!)
Please ensure learners have a few feet to safely move in all directions
