Class Experience
Storytime is a very important aspect of developmental reading. This multi-day class is a fun and light-hearted storytime for little ones. During each class, I will introduce the characters in the story using glass figurines of the animal characters. We will talk about them, their names, appearance, etc. I will then read the story aloud, showing and discussing pictures as we go. At the end of the selection, learners will be asked questions pertaining to the story, such as sequence of...
This class is taught in English.
In this class, students will improve their listening and communication skills by listening to and talking about a lovely, original story created by Beatrix Potter.
I have been holding small-group storytime sessions with this age group for 10 years.
There will be no homework for this class.
No supplies are needed for this class.
30 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
In these storytime sessions, I will be using the stories and characters written and illustrated by Beatrix Potter, from the book, Tales of Peter Rabbit and His Friends, Chatham River Press, New York, 1984.
