Storytime With Monster Mandarin (Ages 3-12)
Each week in this interactive class, a Monster Mandarin Teacher will read, in Chinese, an age-appropriate book to students; after each page, students are asked to repeat and practice the new Chinese vocabulary words.

Each week, students will be read a new book by either Ms. Zoey or Ms. Eileen, so that your child can steadily expand their Mandarin vocabulary. The books will be age appropriate and the design of the class is interactive -- our Teacher will read each page in Chinese, but explain the plot in English and teach the relevant Chinese keywords. Here's a list of some of the books we'll be reading: Week 01: 11/16/2020 -- Buddy Is So Annoying by Wenzheng Fu Week 02: 11/23/2020 -- Curious George by Margret and H. A. Rey Week 03: 11/30/2020 -- Iggy Peck, Architect by Beaty / Roberts Week 04: 12/07/2020 -- Lady Pancake and Sir French Toast by Funk / Kearny Week 05: 12/14/2020 -- You Are Not Small by Kang / Weyant Week 06: 12/21/2020 -- Panda Bear, Panda Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin Jr. / Eric Carle Week 07: 12/28/2020 -- Ruby's Chinese New Year by Vickie Lee Week 08: 01/04/2020 -- Mina's First Day of School by Kartina Liu Week 09: 01/11/2020 -- 三只小猪 By: 浙江少年儿童出版社 编 (3 Little Pigs) Week 10: 01/18/2020 -- The Umbrella Tree by Bai Bing Students will be taught useful keywords (nouns, verbs, adjectives) and phrases. Students will be asked to repeat the words/phrases, so that Ms. Zoey can check their tones and ensure that they understand the new information. In no time, your child will learn to speak Chinese without an accent and they’ll have fun while doing it!
