Storytime: Me...Jane - Learn About Jane Goodall!
In this one-time class, we will be reading the wonderful story "Me...Jane" to learn about Jane Goodall. Learners will also watch a video called "Into the Forest with Jane Goodall!" and participate in a directed drawing.

In this class, students will enjoy learning about Jane Goodall by listening to the story "Me...Jane" by Patrick McDonnell. Students will be able to ask and answer questions throughout the book. We will also focus on how illustrations help tell a story. After the book, students will watch a 5 minute video by Scishow Kids called "Into the Forest with Jane Goodall!" through Kindu, a safe site which reduces advertisements and other unwanted distractions. Finally, students will participate in a directed drawing of Jane looking through binoculars at some chimpanzees. So come and learn with me!
Learning Goals
Students will ask and answer questions to demonstrate understanding of key details in a text.
Students will use information gained from the illustrations and words in a text to demonstrate understanding of its characters, setting, or plot.

Supply List
A blank piece of paper is needed for the directed drawing as well as a pencil, crayons, and/or markers.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
