Does your child love carrots and underwear, especially creepy ones? Come have fun in this one time read aloud class to hear the beloved Creepy Carrots and Creepy Pair of Underwear books by Aaron Reynolds. Your child will engage in an interactive story time as we explore these two stories. Whether it's the first time your child has heard the stories or the 1 millionth time, he/she will enjoy the read aloud! I will structure the class as as storytime and as I read the book, your child will interact with other learners to discuss and engage in dialogue stemming from teacher led questions and student comments. Questions will focus on comprehension/retelling, inference, predictions, and text-to-text connections. During the class I will also incorporate my enthusiastic and upbeat teaching style to have kids participate in rhymes/songs about carrots to add an element of fun to our stories. At the conclusion, your child will use supplies (see supply list) to make his/her own creepy pair of underwear!
Learning Goals
Learners will be able to make text-to-text connections using the two books. They will also be able to retell what has happened in the story.

Underwear is in the book but it's a fun and delightful story. I just always like to give the disclaimer about the word Underwear.
Supply List
To make creepy underwear please provide the following for your child
- white paper
- black paper
*note if you don't have black paper, feel free to use white and your child can color it.
- scissors
- glue
Provided by teacher:
- template of underwear
* Prior to the start of the class (the day before) I will upload an underwear template to the Outschool classroom for you to print out for your child. If you do not have access to a printer or are unable to print, please refer to the template to attempt your best free-hand drawing of a pair of underwear.External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
