Description
Class Experience
In each session of this class I will read a selected text aloud to the group, pausing throughout for discussion. At the end of the book we will participate in an activity or game to further explore the content. The course will include both fiction and non-fiction texts from a wide variety of genres, authors, and topics. My teaching style is energetic and interactive. Students will prepare for reading by strengthening the 6 Pre-Literacy Skills: print motivation, print awareness, letter knowledge, phonological awareness, and narrative skills.
